How We Rank Every Deal

The StealScore is a 0–100 number we calculate on every deal so you can tell at a glance whether something is genuinely worth buying right now.

Genuinely great deal. Worth acting on fast — these move within hours.

A solid saving, but you have a little more time to decide.

What Goes Into the Score

Four factors, each worth a defined amount. They add up to a max of 100.

Discount PercentageUp to 78 pts

The deeper the percentage off, the bigger this slice. A 78%+ markdown maxes this out.

50% off+50 pts
78%+ off+78 pts
Dollar SavingsUp to 12 pts

Raw dollar savings matter — a $5 item at 90% off is less of a steal than a $300 item at 60% off.

Premium BrandUp to 8 pts

Clearance on a major brand (Nike, Apple, Sony, Dyson, DeWalt, Samsung…) hits different than a no-name.

FAQs

Are the prices real?
Yes. Every deal links directly to the retailer — Target, Walmart, Home Depot, etc. We pull the original and clearance price from the retailer's listing.
Can the score go over 100?
No. The score is capped at 100 regardless of how many factors stack up.
Why does a cheaper item sometimes score higher than an expensive one?
A $15 item at 90% off a $150 original is genuinely a great steal — the percentage factor dominates, which is intentional.
Does StealAlert make money on these deals?
We earn a small affiliate commission when you click through and buy. The commission comes from the retailer — not from inflating prices. You pay the same clearance price either way.
Do you sell or ship products?
No. StealAlert does not sell, supply, or ship any products. When you click a deal, you are taken directly to the retailer's website (Amazon, Walmart, Home Depot, etc.) where the purchase is completed. All payments, orders, and customer service are handled entirely by the merchant.
